Thanks for the glowing comments, I’ll have swelled head all year now…
The workshop I did with Craig Tanner was wonderful. Craig is a premier photography instructor for beginners to advanced, you would have a great time with Craig and learn tons…he is also a great person.
I’ll send you an email with the news on the home front…too personal to post here…

I really enjoy visiting your web and blog sites, you’ve done a really nice job with both, and your images are fantastic! Still watching for a notice of your first software class. Thanks Betsy for your generous remarks…the place is really overwhelming and most of the rooms are fairly small. The panos were a bit of a challenge… I only shot with my 14-24mm on my D700 and was at 14mm most of the time, usually jammed up against a column or opposite wall. I really like a lot of John’s images from Fonthill, he was very helpful in pointing out compositions and different areas to work with.

Hi Steve,
Good to hear from you…Yes, I had a GREAT time in Savannah, hard not to with Craig. Glad you are enjoying some of the images from there. Shot this one of Craig as we were walking to dinner on the last night. Walking and shooting, made even trickery with Craig’s large quick stride. I was hoping you and Teresa might show up at the workshop. Emma and Andy from Jekyll were in Savannah. It was good to see them again. I’ll send you an email with some not so good news…

Hey Sam,

Sounds like you had a great time in Savannah. Love your images, but this one of Craig heading home is great! The second I saw it, I knew who it was even though his back is to me and you have motion blur and Lensbaby distortions. Very cool, how distinctive his stride and posture are. Also, really love the color contrast. Really nice.

Thanks Betsy, I really like this one too…
I really like the Sweet 35 because you don’t have to carry around the rings and get slowed down changing the aperture. I wish there was a telephoto adapter for the Sweet 35, that would make for better portrait shots. 35mm is a little wide to use as a flattering portrait lens.

I love this Sam. Your point of view down low really leads my eye straight from the arm rest of the front bench to the man reading the book. The Lensbaby was a perfect choice. How do you like the sweet 35?
