Not many clouds at the beach for the last couple of days but that changed last night. The moon came up and some great clouds appeared just when I thought it was time to go to bed. So I got to bed a little later than usual…had to use a little HDR to get some detail in the moon and clouds.

Sunrise at the Beach - D700, 24-70mm

I have been going down to the beach the last few mornings around 6:15am for sunrise and there are people sitting in beach chairs waiting for the sun. Not many clouds the last few days but still a great way to start the day.

Here’s a more impressionistic version of sunrise at the beach…some texture added and run through the pixel-bender plug-in.

Sunset at the Beach - D700, 24-70, HDR

A quick hand held HDR shot of sunset at the beach this evening…learning to use SNS-HDR Pro to do the tone-mapping. So far I really like the control you get with the program.
