Sweet Smelling Honeysuckle

Sweet Smelling Honeysuckle - D700, Lensbaby Composer, Edge 80 optic

The ridge behind our house is covered with honeysuckle, smells really sweet in the evening sometimes. I remembered some wonderful images Betsy Dallas posted on her blog some time back of some honeysuckle blossoms so I dove in with my Lensbaby Composer with the new Edge 80 optic. A little Flypaper Texture and some Nik Color Efex Pro filters later and this is what I ended up with…I can still smell the honeysuckle! May have some more honeysuckle images to post later, lots to still go through.

  1. Funny….I just came in from photographing honeysuckle in the garden with my Lensbaby, turned on the computer, and here is your beautiful image! Honeysuckle is my very favorite fragrance ….I could have stayed out there all day with my nose to the breeze! The humidity kept fogging the lens and the bugs were annoying, so I came inside, reluctantly. This is a gorgeous image Sam!

  2. Thanks, Betsy…should have a few more to post after I decide on the processing. I’m sure your honeysuckle images will be great! I’ll be watching.
As a youth we use to pull the flowers off and suck out the nectar, very sweet too…
