Apples, Trains & Raindrops

Red Trains

I know, the title says Apples, Trains & Raindrops and I start the post with a train photo…just wanted to see if you were paying attention. You will get your apples later, really. The first “Red Trains” image is a combination of four images, as the train was coming down the track I thought it would make a more interesting image if I showed a sequence as the train approached. Yellow Train at Sunset

The sun was going down fast and this shot was almost right into it…had to add a small gobo to keep the lens flair out, Yes, I had my lens hood on…still wasn’t enough. Processed this in Topaz Simplify and let the “yellow” take over. Warm enough for you!

Raindrops on Chair

The next two images were shot on the lower porch of the Mt. Washington Hotel, a good place to be when it’s raining…

Red Roof in Rain

And finally you get the apples…shot this when we stopped at a roadside stand selling apples. Just a quick grab shot, the light was interesting and the apples looked good so I snapped a shot and processed it as a single image in Nik HDR Pro and finished it off in CS5 with Tonal Contrast and Glamour Glow. Don’t you just want to pick one off the screen and take a bite?

  1. Hi Jim…Glad you liked them. I wasn’t sure if I went too far on the “Yellow Train” seemed like the way to go at the time.
