Before the Lily of the Valley pass their prime I thought I’d take another run at shooting them. Early in the morning they are all in shade, a good time to get the Lensbaby Composer out with the soft focus optic. I’m a little stiff today after crawling around the flower patch at flower level…even with a right angle adapter for the camera, it’s still tough on these old bones. I really like the green leaves and pink cast to the flowers but as I was processing these something said to go with sepia.
Here’s a view of a small part of the patch shot with an 85mm PC lens and a Tony Sweet Soft-Ray filter. I have rediscovered my 85mm PC lens and really like using it for macro work too, even if it is manual focus.
