Terrace View Longwood

Terrace View, Longwood - D200 IR converted, Sigma 10-20

I was attracted to the shadows of the chairs on the terrace. Framed it with the tree and a bit of cloud…seemed like a royal prison viewing platform with nature just out of reach. Well that’s my bizarre take on the scene…click on image for a larger view.

A selection of IR images taken at Longwood Gardens at Easter. Not your normal Easter photos from Longwood but then again I wasn’t looking for the normal Easter shot…

Easter at Longwood

Harp Music at Longwood

Harp Music at Longwood - D200 IR converted, Sigma 10-20

We spent Easter at Longwood Gardens this year, a very nice day. Quite a few more people than we usually see when we go on a weekday… Of course I took a camera but not what you might think. I decided to take just my D200 IR converted body and just two lenses. Mainly used my Sigma 10-20mm since we were in pretty tight surroundings. I figured that the crowds would be pretty large and the light not so great in the middle of the day, it turned out to be  just the ticket…

This is a shot of the harp player in the main atrium surrounded by people with cameras…me being one of them. I went around the other side of the lady playing the harp and shot through a doorway to get this image. I’ll have a few more IR images from Longwood coming later this week…click on the image to view a little larger.
