Sunlit Waterlillies

Since spring is just around the corner I thought a little color on the blog would be a “Good Thing”. This was shot in October last year on one of our trips to Longwood Gardens.

For the photo geeks: This is a single image photo shot with my D700 and processed in Lightroom. I also processed a version of the RAW file in Photomatix as a pseudo HDR and tone mapped it using the details enhancer. Both of these files were stacked in Photoshop CS3 and blended to taste. Additional enhancements were done in CS3 to boost the color and contrast locally.

Glowing Pines - IR, D200

This is my first post on my NEW Photo Blog. Took this image back in February on a infrared shooting trip to Kings Gap. Still trying to learn to see in infrared…

I thought the pines in in the late afternoon might be good for some glowing greens in IR. Did a little post processing in Photoshop CS3 to add some glowing rays to the trees. I kind of like it. We will have some more IR shots to come later…
